I dreamt of joy...

TeaJoy was born from Ning’s love of bubble tea and a simple idea: make it easy and accessible for everyone to enjoy. Her passion for food and hospitality began while running a supper club with her mum inspired by family recipes. The concept later grew into MamaLan, a thriving Chinese street food restaurant. When the pandemic sparked a surge in bubble tea demand, Ning discovered how tricky it was to make. So, she did what any creative entrepreneur would do, and invented a better way!

A chance meeting on the Tube brought Ning together with co-founder Jack, and together they set out to share TeaJoy far and wide. Together they turned a lockdown kitchen experiment into an award-winning brand with millions of cups served bringing bold flavours and joyful sips to fridges everywhere.

The Start of Something Pop-tastic

Ning was done with bubble tea that just didn't vibe, so she got to work creating the perfect popping experience. TeaJoy was born from a simple idea: make it easy, fun, and joyful for everyone to enjoy!

How the Joy Squad Began

A chance meeting on the Tube brought Ning together with co-founder Jack. He became TeaJoy's resident 'joy giver' and together they set out to share the joy far and wide.

Off to the Birthplace of Boba

Ning and Jack flew to Taiwan to find the best tea leaves on the planet. They tracked down the most fragrant, flavour-packed leaves from the Taichung region, the heartland of Taiwanese tea, grown on small mountain farms supporting local communities.

The Big UK Pop-Off

Now served in 800+ hospitality spots nationwide, from your go-to coffee shops to restaurants and theme parks, we brought bold flavours and joyful sips to every corner of the country.
