Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day so to spread some joy we visited Arthritis Action and made them some bubble teas, with their fantastic team. At TeaJoy ae wanted to spread some joy and kindness on this important day.

Arthritis Action is a UK charity giving hands-on, practical help to improve the quality of life of people affected by arthritis. We offer an integrated self-management approach, which looks at both the physical and mental health impact of living with arthritis. We support people living with musculoskeletal conditions through healthy eating advice, mental health resources, pain management techniques, Online Groups, employment support, and exercise advice and resources.

We also offer one-to-one nutritional consultations; access to clinical appointments with our network of osteopaths, physiotherapists, and acupuncturists; and a personalised pathway for goal setting, through our Membership, to help people take control of their arthritis and enjoy life to the fullest.

 

In the UK, approximately 10 million individuals are affected by arthritis in some form. The term “arthritis” refers to inflammation in the joints, which is a challenging sensation to grasp, but it’s a natural part of the body’s healing process, akin to recovering from a cut or bruise. This inflammation can be likened to a bruise with swelling inside the joints, leading to discomfort and stiffness.

Arthritis can be very deliberating, causing you pain and stiffness. It massively changes your life and robs you of the things you used to love and do. At TeaJoy we wrote down some ways how you could show kindness.

  1. Call a friend that you haven’t spoken to for a while

  2. Send a letter to a grandparent

  3. Send a bubble tea to a friend

  4. Offer to pick up some groceries for your elderly neighbour

  5. Send someone a handwritten note

  6. Walk your friend’s dog

  7. Tell your family members how much you love and appreciate them

  8. Help your parents with household chores

  9. Make someone laugh

  10. Offer to cook for a friend or family member

  11. Get a cup of tea for a friend or family member

  12. Tell someone you know that you are proud of them

  13. Tell someone you know why you are thankful for them

  14. Send a motivational text to a friend who is struggling

  15. Catch up with someone with a bubble tea who you haven’t seen in a long time
